Condition:
Case door fretwork to upper corners chipped and incomplete; lozenge escutcheon missing; no key for either door; three of the four feet incomplete. Dial and movement not believed to be original to case, i.e. case is earlier; two redundant holes to one side of backplate; one of the brackets (securing movement plates to case) with one redundant hole. Strike mechanism out of synchronisation and repeat function causes limitless strikes. Has been wound and appears to work and strike, although not guaranteed. No holes visible that might indicate a former set of brackets. (See added two images). Seatboard without added packing but does appear to have been reduced in depth from the rear side.
